Smartphone giant makes flashing tool for its android smartphones but this tool only work with xperia series by sony. Xperia flashtool will help you to restore to factory rom if you flash any custom rom. To use this flashtool your xperia phone’s bootloader must be unlocked otherwise it may not work.

Emma Flash Tool, can only be used on Sony devices with an unlocked bootloader. When flashing through Emma, all data on your device will be erased, so make a backup of your important files
1. Download the Flash Tool for Xperia devices
2. Unzip the downloaded archive and run Emma_Setup.exe, then remember the path where the program was installed, usually this ( do not run after installation):
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony Mobile\Emma\ – for 64-bit Windows
- C:\Program Files\Sony Mobile\Emma\ – for 32-bit Windows
3. Copy the file Customization.ini , which is in the downloaded archive,
to the folder where the program was installed
4. Run the newly installed Emma Flash Tool
5. Take the USB cable from your device and connect it to the computer with one side, and the other side, for now, do not insert into the device
6. Take your device in your hands and turn it off completely
7. Now hold down the sound button (on some devices the button may differ, the list is given below) and without releasing it, connect the second end of the USB cable to the device
8. If everything done correctly, then Emma will detect your device model and provide you with a list of available firmware in the Service list
9. Click on the firmware that you want to install in the Service list and click the Apply Service button
10. Next, the device firmware will start, in no case disconnect the device from the PC during the firmware process.
11. After completing the firmware, you can disconnect the device from the PC and start it.
