Google Pay officially becomes Google Wallet on Wear OS smartwatches

Waiting for the new features scheduled for the end of the year, the Mountain View company has recently updated Wear OS to support the Google Wallet digital wallet also on smartwatches , with the aim of standardizing its system for wireless payments and management of cards, cards and more.

Earlier this week the Google Wallet app replaced Google Pay on smartphones in many countries , and today the same transition has begun on Wear OS as well.

According to Google ‘s support page , starting today on smartwatches running Wear OS, the Google Pay app becomes Google Wallet . The company explains that you can use Google Wallet to pay anywhere Google Pay is accepted.

Google adds that more features will be integrated into Google Wallet starting later this year and that it will extend support for the new app to more countries.

After having announced it on the occasion of  Google I / O 2022 , the Mountain View giant has recently started the release of Google Wallet, the renewed “wallet” of the house that takes the place of the Google Pay app.
