In September of last year, Xiaomi hinted at the development of the Xiaomi Mix Flip, a flip-style foldable smartphone to expand its Mix Fold line. Recently certified in China by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Mix Flip brings an unexpected feature, satellite connectivity.

Confirmed to run on Android and support 5G, the Mix Flip shares some specifications that have previously leaked. Expect the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a triple camera setup resembling Oppo’s Find N3 Flip, featuring a 3x telephoto lens.
Hopes are high for the Mix Flip to inherit the sleek design of the Mix Fold, but there’s a potential downside availability may be limited to China. Stay tuned for more details.
