The new Red Magic 9 gaming smartphone has just been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking portal.
The device will be a fantastic product, equipped with a state-of-the-art data sheet and a breathtaking design. It will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 supported by a lot of RAM.
Red Magic 9: what do we know today?
First things first: Qualcomm ‘s next flagship chipset will be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and will be unveiled during November’s Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. In these hours we have begun to learn which will be the first smartphones that will have this solution.
We have seen the OnePlus 12, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Xiaomi 14 and now also the Red Magic 9 gaming phone . It has the model number Nubia NX769J , so at the moment we cannot know if the leaks really indicate this gaming device or if the code refers instead to the Asian brand’s future Z60.

The motherboard is codenamed Pineapple and has a 1+5+2 core architecture; the insider Ice Universe thought about reporting these data.

We read that the clock speed is 2.27 GHz while the main core can reach 3.19 GHz. On the score front, the device scored 1596 in single core and a whopping 5977 in multi-core Geekbench5.
These values are far from those recorded by the Galaxy S24 Ultra and seen recently (2223 and 6661 points) and it is strange because, after all, the chipset should be the same.
We are right to think, however, that the Samsung device will have a special, more performing variant.
