New firmware “broke” Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 batteries

Google recently released the June software update for the latest two generations of Pixel smartphones. It was supposed to improve the performance of devices, however, judging by the feedback from some of their owners, something went wrong after the update.

The first complaints about the work of “pixels” after installing the latest firmware have already appeared on the Reddit portal. According to the “victims”, the update causes problems with autonomy: smartphone batteries are quickly discharged and get very hot.

Some users also claim that the text selection option has stopped working for them, and a number of other minor errors have occurred. At the same time, the mass problem has not yet been named – there were also those who claim that the patch even increased the battery life of their gadgets. Google itself has not yet given official comments on this matter.
