Xiaomi 12 Ultra: the photographic module unveiled?

In these hours, an image has emerged online that portrays the back cover (with photographic module) of Xiaomi 12 Ultra . From the image we can see that the optics compartment will have seven elements. At least, so you can guess from the silicone cover published on the web and the 7 attached holes.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra: let’s take stock

We know that the Xiaomi 12 line-up was launched in China in December last year but many models are still missing. We have only seen the 12X, 12 and 12 Pro but we have yet to see a 12 Lite and 12 Ultra marketed . On the latter we have read that it will be a super flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 + (Qualcomm’s SoC yet to be revealed) but nothing more. A new report has revealed live images of this gadget but now let’s find out more about its aesthetics thanks to the covers that have emerged on the web.

The photos come to us from the tipster @SlashLeaks who shared everything on Twitter. Looking at these images we can see that the Ultra version seems to be different from the models seen previously. There is a large circular module consisting of seven cutouts (including the one for the LED flash). So let’s assume different lenses with 1 / 1.1-inch main sensor (Sony Exmor IMX800).

The main lens appears to be coupled to an ultrawide and a telephoto lens. There also appears to be a built-in zoom lens. Forser, there could then be a leatherette back cover. Before we should find a 48 Mpx selfie cam. The rear camera, on the other hand, should have a resolution of 50 Mpx.

The ultrawide should also have a resolution of 48 megs, probably combined with a 48 Mpx periscope lens and a LiDAR sensor. There aren’t many other details on that, so stay tuned to find out more.
