It will be a week of important changes for WhatsApp which, as Mark Zuckerberg himself announced through his social profiles, is preparing to welcome a function that will greatly simplify call management.

An additional tool at the service of those who, on a daily or more sporadic basis, use an instant messaging application such as WhatsApp to keep in touch with friends and family.

Let’s start by taking a look at the post that Mark Zuckerberg published on Facebook, so as to better understand which updates are arriving on WhatsApp and which, instead, will be made available at a later time:

In detail, the message from Meta ‘s CEO specifies the following:

Starting this week we are rolling out call links on WhatsApp, so you can share a link to start a call with just one tap. We are also testing secure encrypted video calls for up to 32 people. More on the way.

Going step by step, during this week we will see the introduction of links for calls on WhatsApp and everything will be accessible with a simple click. In order to select the “Link for the call” option , both audio and video, you will have to go to the ” Calls” section and you will get the relevant link to forward to your contacts. To use the links you will need to have the latest version of the app.

As it is easy to guess, this is not the only integration that the staff of WhatsApp developers has been working on in the last period. Mark Zuckerberg has in fact informed his followers about the start of tests related to group video calls for up to 32 people : over 1000 tests per day with the aim of guaranteeing maximum performance and quality.

At the moment, however, it is not known when the latter function will be officially released. For all those who, on the other hand, should be satisfied with simple audio calls with up to 32 friends, we remind you that such a possibility has been available for several months on WhatsApp (just as we had specified in our previous article ).
