Cubot X15 comes with amazing features such as MT6735 chipset from mediatek. If you are the owner of Cubot X15 MT6735 and want to update it with Android 5.1 os follow below simple steps to get upgraded.

Requirements:

  • SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject Tool [Download]
  • Firmware [Download ] Note : Gapps included in this firmware
  • USB Data cable

Steps :

Step # 1 : Turn off Phone

Step # 2 : Discharge it by removing battery for some seconds.

Step # 3 : Connect cable to phone and with PC. New hardware will be detected by PC.

Step # 4 : Pull USB data cable from PC only.

Step # 5 : Double click on SPMultiPortFlashDownloadProject.exe from flashing tool folder.

Step # 6 : Click scatter button to load scatter file. MT6735_Android_scatter.txt included in ROM zip file. Remember to load scatter file directly  from extracted rom folder.

Step # 7 : Now press start all button and connect you phone to PC.

Step # 8 : Done you have now Android 5.1 on Cubot X15
