Simple Phone unveiled: MediaTek chip and Android without Google for €399

The company Simple Mobile Tools, known as a developer of mobile applications, has released its debut smartphone. Its main feature was a proprietary firmware based on Android without services and the Google store.

In addition, the device has acquired an atypical, by the standards of its price category, configuration of hardware and cameras.

The novelty called Simple Phone runs on SimpleOS, an open source operating system based on Android 11. Instead of Google Play, it uses the alternative F-Droid store, and the microG framework performs the role of the GMS package.

The device is equipped with a 6.53-inch IPS display with Full HD + resolution and a 25-megapixel front camera embedded in the upper left corner.
