Samsung Galaxy M33 5G and M23: big displays and good autonomy

Following the novelties of the A-series, Samsung showed two more smartphones – Galaxy M33 5G and Galaxy M23. They have a similar design and high-capacity batteries, but differ in hardware configurations and a set of sensors for the main camera.

Galaxy M33 5G

Samsung Galaxy M33 5G received a 6.5-inch IPS display (2408×1080 pixels). On the back cover there is a quad camera with image sensors of 50 (f / 1.8), 5 (f / 2.2, wide-angle lens), 2 (f / 2.2, macro) and 2 MP (depth sensor). For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f / 2.2 aperture, located in the waterdrop notch on the screen.

Responsible for the performance of the smartphone is an eight-core processor with support for 5G networks (presumably Exynos 1200), supported by 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Built-in 128 GB storage can be expanded by another 1 TB using a microSD card. The device is equipped with a 6000 mAh battery and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The device will be available in green, blue and brown cases.

Samsung Galaxy M23

Samsung Galaxy M23 received a slightly larger screen (6.6 inches) with a similar resolution. According to online sources, it supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, although this feature was not announced in a Samsung press release. The gadget is based on the Snapdragon 750G processor, equipped with 4 GB of RAM and a 128 GB flash drive with expandability.

Three camera sensors are located on the back cover of the device: main (50 MP, f/1.8), ultra-wide-angle (8 MP, f/2.2) and 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The characteristics of the front camera are identical to those of the Galaxy M33. The battery capacity of the smartphone is 5000 mAh. The manufacturer chose One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 as the firmware. It will come to the market in light green and dark blue cases.

Other specifications, sales start date and price of new products will be announced later.
