If you’re encountering the “Your device is corrupt” or “System not compatible with hardware” errors, this guide will help you resolve the problem.
The steps below assume your bootloader is locked
(visible in the Fastboot menu as DEVICE STATE – locked)
and that your tablet isn’t starting.
If your bootloader is unlocked but you’re still seeing these errors after a firmware rollback or installation, you’ll need to install the correct firmware version for your tablet (whether it’s a Chinese or English variant).
Important: Data Loss Warning
Proceeding with this guide may result in permanent data loss. Follow the steps carefully at your own risk, as they could worsen the issue.
Important Steps to follow
Step 1: Unlock the Bootloader
First, try unlocking your bootloader through the standard process. If you receive the error “FAILED (Flashing unlock is not allowed)”, move to step 2.
On firmware version 15.0.795, the unlock command may not work, and you’ll see “FAILED (remote: ‘unknown command’)”. In this case, you’ll need to roll back to an older firmware before proceeding.
Step 2: Prepare for Firmware Installation
- Unpack utilities and firmware into folders that have no spaces or Cyrillic characters.
- Download the full English-Chinese firmware (QPST or dual firmware).
- Install QPST and EDL drivers.
- Install ADB/Fastboot drivers (if your PC doesn’t recognize the device in Fastboot).
- Install a Hex editor, like HxD.
Step 3: Switch Tablet to EDL Mode & Set Up QFIL
- Power off the tablet.
- Hold the volume up button and connect the tablet to your computer via a USB cable. The screen will flash briefly and then turn off.
- The device should appear as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 in the device manager.
Step 4: Open QFIL
- Run QFIL from the start menu.
- Navigate to Configuration -> Firehose Configuration and confirm the following settings:
- Device protocol: “0 – Sahara”
- Device type: “ufs”
- Check the box for Reset After Download.
- If your tablet isn’t detected automatically, click Select Port and choose the correct port (based on the device manager).
Step 5: Load Firmware in QFIL
- In the QFIL window, select Flat Build.
- Click Browse next to Select Programmer, then choose xbl_s_devprg_ns.melf.
- Click Load XML, first selecting rawprogram_unsparse0.xml, then patch0.xml.
Step 6: Partition Modification with Hex Editor
- Open Partition Manager under the Tools menu in QFIL.
- Find the partition labeled frp, right-click it, and select Manage Partition Data.
- Click Read Data.
- Go to %APPDATA%\Qualcomm\QFIL\COMPORT_X (replace X with the correct port number).
- Copy the file ReadData_ufs_Lun0_0x15f08_Len128_DT_date_time_backup.bin into your firmware folder.
- Open the copied file in a Hex editor and change the last bit from 00 to 01.
- Save the file.
Step 7: Reboot the Tablet
- Load the modified file back into QFIL by clicking Load Image.
- Close the partition windows.
- Disconnect the tablet from the computer.
- Press and hold all three buttons on the tablet until it reboots (approximately 15 seconds).
