Redmi Pad is announced with Helio G99, 8,000 mAh battery and low price

Redmi announced its first tablet in India. Called the Redmi Pad , it will also be released to the global market.

Its frame and back are made of aluminum, while its body is made of metal. It focuses on cost-effectiveness and has attractive specifications for a comradely price.

Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch IPS LCD screen with WXUGA+ resolution (2000 x 1200 pixels) and 90 Hz refresh rate, as well as a 15:9 aspect ratio and 400 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, the tablet is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset and is the first in India to feature the new 6nm chipset. It comes with 4GB or 6GB RAM options and 128GB internal storage.

For power, there’s an 8,000mAh battery pack with support for 18W fast charging, but Redmi ships a 22.5W charger in the device’s box.

On the OS, it comes standard with Android 12 under the MIUI 13 interface and Redmi promises two major Android updates and three years of security updates.

In cameras, there is a front and a rear sensor with 8 megapixels with support for document scanning. Among other highlights, there are four speakers, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 5, as well as space for a microSD card.
