Redmi Note 11 Global: it will have a whole new design

The Redmi Note 11 Global range will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and an updated design compared to the Chinese counterpart.

Redmi Note 11: new design and different processor

Last month, Xiaomi’s sub brand unveiled Redmi Note 11, Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro + in China. Immediately after its debut, the company confirmed that it had sold 500,000 units within one hour of making it available for purchase of the series.

A new report from ThePIxel.vn talks about the arrival of the line-up in Vietnam and in global markets. The report reveals that the range will have a completely different design and will feature Snapdragon chipsets for countries outside of China.

Redmi Note 11 GlobalAs is known, the Redmi Note 11 is powered by the Dimensity 810 chip, while Note 11 Pro and Pro + are driven by the Dimensity 920 SoC. According to the publication, the device for other global markets will feature the Snapdragon chipset . The report further states that the Qualcomm variants will also show up in China with new names.

The report states that Note 11 models powered by Snapdragon SoCs will debut in the first quarter of 2022 . It’s unclear why Xiaomi decided to use Snapdragon SoCs instead of Dimensity chips on iterations for global markets.

Tipster Chun speculated that it could be due to the small amount of SoC Dimensity stored in Xiaomi’s facility. He had previously speculated that the recently introduced Snapdragon 778G Plus and Snapdragon 695 would be featured in the Global editions of the line-up.
