POCO F4 GT: the cheapest flagship killer is coming later this month

After almost two months of silence since the latest rumor related to POCO F4 GT , today the company officially announces the launch date of the new smartphone: the device will be presented on April 26th through an online event.

As we had the opportunity to discover in recent weeks, in all probability the device will present itself as a simple rebrand of another device presented in mid-February last: Redmi K50 Gaming Edition .

Taking this information into consideration, it is very likely that POCO’s device will mount a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel at Full HD + resolution with 120 Hz refresh rate and punch hole camera, high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 8/12 processor. GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of internal space of type UFS 3.1.

A lot is also expected from the main photographic sector which, according to the leak information published by Yogesh Brar , should have a Sony IMX686 main sensor of 64 MP, an ultra wide-angle sensor of 8 MP and a macro sensor of 2 MP; frontally, however, it is likely that a 20 MP Sony IMX596 sensor will be introduced.

Just like Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, it is assumed that side triggers are present for gaming and a 4700 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support on cable. Hence, it’s pretty clear that the company’s strategy is to position POCO F4 GT as the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 smartphone on the market.

It is not yet clear at what price it will be presented, but there are numerous indications that POCO wants to take advantage of the cheap price as a prominent element.
