POCO C40 is about to arrive with a processor never heard before

Among the mass of economic, medium and high-end smartphones released by POCO over the years, the protagonist of this news has something unique: the POCO C40 model , in fact, will arrive on the market with a processor that will not refer to either Qualcomm or MediaTek , the two most important (and popular) mobile chip makers in the world.

In fact, based on the information published in these hours by XDA colleagues , we discover that the POCO C40 model had recently been identified in the database by the FCC with the product code C3QP ; initially confused as an alternative version of Redmi 10C – this device has the product code C3Q -, in reality it has been discovered that the new POCO smartphone will not rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor that we find on the aforementioned Redmi device.

POCO C40 will come with a different processor than usual

Under the body of the POCO device, the JR510 processor will be introduced , an SoC that is often used in smartphones made by Treswave ; the confirmation also comes from Geekbench as the C3QP device (POCO C40) has been identified with clear references to the presence of the JR510 processor. But there’s more: the POCO device will also mount a particular version of MIUI , probably labeled as ” MIUI Go “, whose traces have been found in the firmware of Xiaomi’s Android customization.

Without going into too much detail, just like Android Go, MIUI Go also has the task of ensuring good usability of the phone (and operating system) even in the presence of rather basic hardware – possibly with 4 GB of RAM. At the moment it is not known when this POCO device will be presented on the market but, according to the latest indications on the net, it is very likely that it will also be marketed in Europe at a clearly very low price.
