The Motorola Moto X40 smartphone has appeared in the database of the Chinese certifier TENAA, thanks to which the appearance and some characteristics of the smartphone have been revealed.
Passing certification by a smartphone may indicate that the release of new items is scheduled for November or December 2022.
It is assumed that the photo shows the Moto X40, and this particular model will be the company’s first smartphone based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
The image shows that the screen edges are rounded: the smartphone is most likely equipped with an OLED matrix. The source suggests that a 60 MP front camera is placed in the round cutout of the screen.
Insiders have previously reported that the X40 display will support a refresh rate of 165Hz and a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels.
On the back of the smartphone, you can see a module with three lenses. According to rumors, in addition to the main sensor of 50 megapixels, the smartphone will also receive a wide-angle camera of 50 megapixels and a telephoto camera of 12 megapixels.
The matte back panel may indicate an imitation of the texture of the skin (the coating does not look like frosted glass, and the addition of a cover made of ordinary plastic is unlikely).
Insiders also know that Moto X40 will be equipped with 68-watt fast charging, 8/12 GB of RAM, and outside of China, the smartphone will be called Motorola Edge 40 Pro.
