Microsoft has put a new section on its official website with information about the acquisition of Activision Blizzard to explain its benefits for gamers, developers and the entire gaming industry.
The page contains several updates on the acquisition, with speeches from Xbox CEO Phil Spencer and Microsoft Vice President Brad Smith, as well as graphs detailing revenue from the gaming market.
Microsoft explains that the deal would benefit gamers by bringing more games to more devices, including Xbox, PlayStation, mobile and online, as well as bringing more options to how games are purchased and accessed.

She also argues that game creators would benefit from higher revenue and fairer market rules, as well as greater flexibility in payment systems, while the games industry would have more competition from Sony, Nintendo and the mobile sector.
Microsoft’s position reinforces its optimism that the acquisition of Activision Blizzard will be approved by regulators. However, Sony has been fiercely opposing the deal , fearing it will lose Call of Duty to its biggest rival.
In September, the Competition and Markets Authority
(CMA) delivered its initial verdict and expressed concern about the deal, estimating that the deal between the American tech giant and Activision could reduce competition in the UK.
