This year, Apple introduced faster charging options for the iPhone 16 Pro, supporting up to 45W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. To determine the fastest iPhone charging method, the YouTube channel SimplyPops ran a test, comparing four different chargers on the iPhone 16 Pro.
The chargers tested were:
- 25W MagSafe Magnetic Adapter with a 30W Block
- Official Apple 20W Adapter
- Official Apple 30W Adapter
- Anker 45W Adapter
Using special equipment, the YouTuber measured the charging power for each adapter. Initially, both the 30W and 45W chargers delivered around 20W of power. However, over time, the power for all adapters dropped to around 10W and continued to decrease.
Surprisingly, the iPhone 16 Pro connected to the Apple 30W charger was the fastest to charge, taking just 2 hours and 10 minutes to reach 100%. The Apple 20W and Anker 45W adapters charged the phone simultaneously after an additional 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the MagSafe magnetic charger took 3 hours and 50 minutes to fully charge the phone.
To confirm the results, the blogger repeated the test twice. In the second test, the 30W adapter won again, while in the third test, the Anker 45W adapter charged the phone the fastest, in just 1 hour and 45 minutes.
