The new flagship generation of Apple iPhone 14 was presented to the public just a couple of weeks ago.
Users and experts immediately began to test the camera capabilities and compare the iPhone 14 camera with other flagships – Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Ultra and vivo X80 Pro. iPhone 14 Pro received a 48-megapixel camera module with support for second-generation matrix shift technology. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a 108-megapixel ISOCELL HM3 module with optical image stabilization. Xiaomi has chosen a 48-megapixel camera with Leica optics for its 12S Ultra, while the lenses for the vivo X80 Pro were created by the legendary Zeiss company.
Well-known expert and insider Ice Universe came to the conclusion that the iPhone 14 Pro camera has really become better, but none of the four smartphones can be called ideal in terms of shooting. The iPhone 14 Pro sometimes tries too hard using HDR mode, which spoils the color balance, making the picture too “warm”. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, using artificial intelligence algorithms, makes the picture too light and unnatural. Xiaomi 12S Ultra, on the contrary, makes little use of HDR, which also negatively affects the result. Well, vivo X80 Pro simply decorates the photos, depriving them of their naturalness.
