How to put music in Snapchat snaps

Snapchat

All you have to do to put music on Snapchat is to start the app in question for Android devices (also available on alternative stores , for devices without Google services) and iPhone / iPad , press the button to create a new Snap , access to the Sounds section and choose one of the available songs.

To proceed, then take your device, start the Snapchat app and, if you have not already done so, log in to your account: then press the Login button , enter your data in the Username or email and Password fields and tap on the Login item .

At this point, make sure you have selected the Camera option in the bottom menu and press the round button , to take a photo or record a video. Alternatively, press the landscape icon and tap the Camera Roll option to select a video or photo from your device.

In both cases, tap on the music note icon , to access the Sounds section , and select the option of your interest between Featured , to view the complete list of music tracks available on Snapchat, and Mood , to choose one of the other available sounds.

How do you say? Would you like to know if it is possible to use a custom sound? In this case, go to the Sounds section , choose the My sounds option and press the Create sound item to create a new custom sound.

In the Create Sound screen , keep your finger pressed on the microphone icon for the duration of the recording, enter the name of the sound in the appropriate field and choose whether to make it public, by moving the lever next to the option Do you want to make this sound public? from OFF to ON .

Finally, apply any clippings to the recording just made using the two sliders visible on the screen and, once the changes are complete, tap the Save sound button to add the sound in question to the list of your custom sounds.

Regardless of the type of song or sound you have chosen, press the relevant ▶ ︎ button to listen to a preview and, if you like, tap the Next button . Once this is done, using the cursor that appeared on the screen, choose the segment to play (maximum 10 seconds) and press the  button , to add the music to your Snap.

If everything went well, you should see a sticker on the screen relating to the song or sound you have just chosen, which you can move to the position you prefer by simply dragging it to the point where you want to place it. Furthermore, by zooming in or out with your fingers, you can also change its size.

In case of second thoughts, you can delete the song or sound added just now, by making a long tap on it and dragging it to the trash icon , which appears below. Alternatively, press the music note icon and tap the Remove sound button .

Once you have completed customizing your Snap (e.g. by adding filters ), tap the Send to button , select the friends or group you want to share it with and press the Send button to send the Snap you just created. Simple, right?

How to put music in Snapchat Stories

The procedure for putting music in Snapchat Stories is almost identical to what I indicated in the previous lines to add a song or sound to a Snap. In fact, even in this case, all you have to do is access the Sounds section of Snapchat and choose one of the available songs.

After starting the Snapchat app on your device, select the Stories option located in the bottom menu, tap the My Story button and press the round button , to take a photo or record a video on the spot.

Once this is done, access the Snapchat Sounds section by pressing the music note icon , at the top right, and locate the song to use in your Story by navigating to the Featured and Mood categories . If, on the other hand, you want to use one of the personal sounds you created earlier, select the My sounds option and choose the one you are interested in. Alternatively, by pressing the Create Sound button , you can record one on the spot.

Now, tap on the song or sound you like (you can also press the ▶ ︎ button, to listen to a preview, and then tap the Next button ), select the segment to play and press the  button , to add the music to your story. Also in this case, as I indicated earlier to put music in Snapchat Snaps , you can customize both the position and the size of the sticker relating to the chosen song that appeared on the screen.

As soon as you are ready to publish your Story, click on the paper airplane icon , bottom right, and that’s it. To find out more, I leave you to my guide on how to use Snapchat . What are the snapchat emoji here are the posts of details.
