Following the camera , DxOMark specialists undertook to evaluate the performance of the Honor Magic5 Pro display. The flagship was able to surprise again – according to the results of a series of tests, it took first place both in the overall rating of display quality and within its price category.
The smartphone is equipped with a 6.81-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1312×2848 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, as well as an oval cutout for a dual selfie camera in the upper left corner.
Having tested the display’s capabilities in various conditions and usage scenarios, the laboratory experts noted its pros and cons. The list of strengths included:
- good level of brightness in all lighting conditions;
- good visibility of content when working outdoors;
- accurate and fast response to touch;
- no flicker.
- low contrast in high brightness mode;
- insufficiently smooth gameplay;
- lack of uniformity in low light.
While the Honor Magic5 Pro didn’t achieve the maximum score in any of the individual disciplines, it came close to it everywhere. The overall result of Honor Magic5 Pro was 151 points, which brought him the leadership in the overall ranking, as well as among the “ultra-premium” models.
