During yesterday’s presentation , the company not only showed the new “pixels”, but also demonstrated their functions. One of the most notable innovations was Photo Unblur technology. According to the company, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can not only retouch new photos on the fly, but also “repair” old photos from the Google Photo library.
The innovation is currently only available on devices of the Pixel 7 family with a Tensor G2 processor equipped with a dedicated neural computing unit. With the help of an AI algorithm, proprietary technology reduces the amount of digital noise and “soap” in photographs, making them clearer and more detailed .
The company claims that this feature will also be applied to new shots taken in low light conditions, reducing post-processing time.
