To the delight of owners of Samsung’s S21 series of phones, the first security patch of the year is coming. In fact, on Reddit it emerged that the launch of the January 2021 patch has already started globally, with the firmware versions G981U1UES1CTL5, G981U1OYM1CTL5 and G981U1UES1CTL5 directed respectively to the Galaxy S20, S20 + and S20 Ultra . Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not aware of the features and functions coming with the update – whose file weighs about 235 MB -, however we know that it only includes the first security patch of the year, for the aforementioned devices.

So, if you own the Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20 + or the Galaxy S20 Ultra, just go to the Settings> System Updates panel to check if you can download the OTA update of the security patch we just talked about.
