Consumer Reports’ Best iOS and Android Smartphones of 2021
Analyst firm Consumer Reports has updated its proprietary rating of recommendations for smartphones across platforms. Experts have named the best models running Google and Apple operating systems that can be purchased this year.
The iPhone 12 Pro Max was recognized as the leader in the segment of iOS gadgets. Although the model is more expensive than the basic Pro version by $ 100, for this money the buyer will get several hours more battery life, a slightly larger display and a camera with 2.5x optical zoom. At the same time, experts noted that the older model of the series may not suit users with small palms due to its size and weight.
The best Android device according to Consumer Reports is the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G. In addition, the mid-budget OnePlus Nord N10 5G and OnePlus Nord N100, which received the title of the smartphone with the best autonomy in its price category, received separate recognition from the censors. The consolidated list of long-term models also includes the Samsung Galaxy A71 and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Consumer Reports is known for its meticulous approach to electronics testing. For example, in 2010, she announced that the iPhone 4 has “the clearest display and best video camera” of all smartphones tested at that time, but declined to recommend it due to antenna problems.
