LineageOS 19 is coming to five more phones this Wednesday (05). Based on Android 12, the operating system has just gained distributions for the Motorola Edge 30 , Edge 20 Pro , Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro , Mi 8 Explorer and Mi Mix 2S .
These are official builds of LineageOS 19 , so all mobile features will be available. It is common for unofficial distributions to run into NFC sensor compatibility issues, internet connection errors, among other bugs that are much rarer in versions developed by the Lineage team.
For Xiaomi mobile users, LineageOS 19 can serve as a much more polished alternative — without pre-installed apps and MIUI bloatware — which, in turn, can bring more performance to older phones.
The installation process is the same as always. It is necessary to unlock the phone’s bootloader and select a system recovery tool to replace the factory software with the LineageOS 19 image. Each model has a specific installation path, so it is recommended to follow the instructions.

Upgrading to LineageOS 19
To upgrade, please follow the upgrade guide for your device found here.
If you’re coming from an unofficial build, you need to follow the good ole’ install guide for your device, just like anyone else looking to install LineageOS for the first time. These can be found here.
Please note that if you’re currently on an official build, you DO NOT need to wipe your device, unless your device’s wiki page specifically dictates otherwise, as is needed for some devices with massive changes, such as a repartition.
