A recent update brought a bug for some Galaxy S22s

Samsung’s flagship, the Galaxy S22 series , has just received the September security update. While the update fixes over 20 vulnerabilities , some S22 owners appear to have broken text messages.

Discovered by  PiunikaWeb , it appears that several owners of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and Galaxy S22 Ultra have filed complaints on the Samsung community forums and on Reddit. The complaints claim that users are no longer able to receive text messages after the last update .

The problem seems to only affect people in the United States . Users report that messages are transmitted after the phone is restarted. According to developers XDA , AT&T and T-Mobile say that enabling chat settings or toggling the SIM card on and off can also help. At the moment, there is no news from Samsung about the bug, therefore, for users afflicted by this problem, all that remains is to wait for the resolutive update.
